James Connery came to ASR in 2010, and since then, he has contributed to many important projects. These include several Community Assessment Projects throughout California, Arizona, and Alaska, for which he collected primary and secondary data and collaborated with community members to develop data that otherwise would not have been available.
In addition, he has collaborated on needs and assets reports regarding children ages birth through five years in nine regions of Arizona. He has contributed his talents on homeless censuses and surveys throughout California. James also assists the technical support department. He is always interested in discovering new and creative ways in which data are presented and used.
A graduate of the University of Arizona, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in history with a minor in art education. Subsequently, he graduated from California State University Monterey Bay with a Masters Degree in business administration.
James is an enthusiastic San Francisco Bay Area sports fan and is happy to see how statistics are increasingly used as an integral part of sports performance evaluation. When he isn’t working, James enjoys playing recreational league softball and spending quality time with his wife, their two children, and their golden retriever.
