Juliana Huaroc joined ASR in November 2019. She earned her dual Master’s degree in public administration and Latin American studies from San Diego State University. Her thesis research focused on agricultural workers’ rights in rural Chile, with a focus on the public policy marginalization of female seasonal laborers. She received her BA in political science and religious studies with a minor in education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Juliana is passionate about social justice issues such as agricultural workers’ rights and immigration. In addition to her work at ASR, Juliana is a volunteer for Allies to End Detention, a San Diego-based non-profit organization that upholds the standards of human decency and government accountability for migrants and refugees held in American immigration detention centers.  

When time allows, Juliana enjoys visiting her family in Los Angeles, dining on Peruvian foods, and watching “Friends” on television.
